Bannu is district of province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, inhabitants of Bannu are known as Bannuchi and their mother tongue is Pashto language. System of education there is BISE Bannu board that is Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. Bannu is a tribal area students from there require quality education system that can compete with other educational system therefore Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa established Bannu Board. Its main objective is to conduct examination of SSC part I and II and HSSC part I and II examination every year.
Chairman and other administration is working hard to provide fair environment to students. Authentic books are used by Government authorised syllabus in Urdu, English and it dialects Pushto. Syllabus is revised time to time. There are many institutions affiliated with Bannu Board some are government and other are private and many students appear in examination every year. A good teacher, students and parents triangle in build up by institutions guided by board that makes it easy to bring upon youth the leaders of tomorrow. Syllabus and Groups provided to students are Science and Arts at Matriculation level and Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Computer Science, Commerce, General Science and Arts for Intermediate students.

Bannu Board conduct examinations once every year in month of March for Matric and April for Intermediate, semester system is followed by dividing Matric and Intermediate in Part I and II. Teachers are trained their work shops are conducted to build up skills of students professionally not only this, but also Bannu board provides opportunity for deaf and dumb students to study up to Matriculation level and board really appreciate them by providing facilities to attempt examinations.
Bannu Board covers following areas District Bannu, District Lakki Marwat, District D.I Khan, District Tank and North and South Waziristan Agency and conduct examinations in affiliated institutions here. Admissions for Matriculation and Intermediate start 2 months before exams start and it also provides online registration on its official website with forms available. Some students appear as regular students and other are as private students it is policy of board that all students of SSC and HSSC part I are required to be registered with following board.
